Bragging on Daughter's Peach Pie

Post by GunnyGene » Mon Aug 22, 2022 4:05 pm

My daughter (who lives up in WA State) emailed me a pic of a peach pie she made this morning. She inherited her mothers cooking skills. She makes all her pies in a cast iron skillet (in the oven) because it cooks evenly & makes the bottom crust crispy instead of the usual soggy bottom pie crust, and it doesn't stick to the skillet. She used fresh ripe peaches for this. :)

That’s beautiful! Bet it tastes as good as it looks too.

My Daughter is a whiz at this too. It's good to see the skills moving through the generations. I'll mention the cast iron tip, thanks.

Hey, I’m in Washington State, maybe she could drop one off at my door.

Using a cast iron pan is clever I bet that makes a good pie.
