Re: covid
Coop,
So sorry to hear about this latest set back. Thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Re: covid
My best to Carol. Hopefully the meds from the pharmacy will help.
Both my wife and I have been sick two times since the Covid thing started. We wonder if perhaps we have had it but didn’t test either time. Hope so, I’ll appreciate the additional antibiotics.

Re: covid
Coop she sounds like my oldest stepdaughter who was an RN. She thought she could do it and made the wrong decision and she ended up in the hospital for about 10 days on oxygen and it was a long recovery. I wish you the best. Ive always had good luck with Mucinex dm. For congestion it works like a champ for me.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 8:47 amCarol very very sick. I took her to the ER last night and they confirmed Covid and gave us some prescriptions.
The pain killer they had at the hospital, but I have to go get the other one this morning.
She is a very difficult patient in that she is a denier and had all kinds of meds she purchased online. She at
first refused to take the meds prescribed by the doctor, but after a horrible night she is now ready.
She has a severe sore throat and has lost her voice. She is congested to the point that I am really concerned.
Now I have to wait for the Pharmacy to open at ten.
The junk she bought online did not work.
Don't let the old man in

Re: covid
Thanks for all your thoughts. I went to the pharmacy and got the meds, now she read the label
and says she doesn't need the opioids. She reads all that crap on the internet and doesn't believe
the doctors, well, the stuff she ordered from India didn't work.
She is an ornery difficult patient. Not sure what to do now.

Re: covid
This Covid is no joke. Last week I was afraid I was going to lose Carol. When I drove her to the ER all
I thought of was they'd want to keep her and I wouldn't be able to visit her. Happily they didn't think
it necessary and sent her home with me with some prescriptions. After some cajoling she took her meds
and she's making daily progress now.
As of yesterday she is at the table eating meals with me. She's very congested and tired, but on the mend.
The High School told my Grandson that he has to go three days without meds to keep his fever down before
he can come back. I guess he's about there.
We've lost friends and relatives to this damn virus and I'm thankful they're both on the upside of it now.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Re: covid
Well, knock on wood but I cannot figure why I haven't got it. I've surely been exposed enough times.
This stuff hits some people hard and others barely know they're ill.
After watching Carol and Caleb, (my Grandson), It scares me.

My puffy eye got better, cold was gone a day or two later. Combo of fresh air and black powder smoke. Try it.

Re: covid
Glad to report that the grand kid is completely recovered. In fact she played in a weekend tournament, pitch one inning of no runs in relief, a win. Then the next day pitched a complete game for a win. Got's some hits but what I will remember the most was her running down a fly ball in left center field. It look like it was going to drop but at the last second she stretched out ,caught it in the web, did the required tumble, and came up holding the ball. Out standing defensive play. Enough of the brag. Bottom line... she is healthy.
