Florida Sheriff: "We Prefer" Homeowners Shoot Burglars To "Save Taxpayer Money"
Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson told residents they're "more than welcome" to shoot burglars at a Thursday press conference after a crazed man went on a home invasion spree in the northwestern portion of the Sunshine State.
"If somebody's breaking into your house, you're more than welcome to shoot them in Santa Rosa County, and we prefer that you do actually," Johnson said.
According to the Pensacola News Journal, the sheriff wasn't sure which homeowner shot at 32-year-old Brandon Joseph Harris, who has since been arrested and accused of committing a series of break-ins on Wednesday evening.
"We don't know what homeowner shot at him.
"I guess they think they did something wrong, which they did not.
"Whoever that was, you're not in trouble. Come see us. We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday, and if you take that, you'll shoot a lot better, and hopefully, you'll save the taxpayers money," Johnson said.

Re: My kinda Sheriff
No doubt...
"You kill a policeman it means no arrest...no Miranda rights...no negotiations...nothing but as many bullets as we can shoot into you...period." said Polk County Florida Sheriff, Grady Judd
An illegal immigrant, in Polk County, Florida, who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop and ended up "executing" the deputy, who stopped him.
The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. The murderer was later found hiding in a wooded area.
As soon as he took a shot at the SWAT team, officers opened fire.
They hit the guy 68 times. Naturally, the liberal media went nuts and asked why they had to shoot the poor, undocumented immigrant 68 times.
Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel: "Because that's all the ammunition we had."
Now, is that just about the all-time greatest answer or what!
The Coroner also reported that the man died of natural causes.
When asked by a reporter how that could be, since there were 68 bullet wounds in his body, he simply replied: (BEST QUOTE ever) .. ..
"When you are shot 68 times, you are naturally gonna die."
"Welcome to Florida, Y'all."

Judd also said after a homeowner shot an intruder, " the folks in Polk County like guns and they have guns, if you try to break in their homes, they will shoot you".

Re: My kinda Sheriff
Love it...
... It makes me sick when criminals commit a crime and are killed, and the family sues, and gets paid. A trooper in New England did everything by the book, when he came across an armed robbery in progress at a convenience store at 2am. The suspect didn't survive. When the family sued, the department paid them a large lump sum out of court settlement to avoid the time and expense of a trial. This was against the wishes of the trooper and the union and the FOP. It made the trooper look guilty, as the family immediately went on an interview spree. "You know they were wrong, we can't say how much we got paid because we had to sign some paper that says we can't, but it was a LOT."
The trooper resigned, moved to another state, and sued for defamation of character. And WON. *** This from a LE Firearms Instructor Course.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Yesterday, I watched a dude walk out of shoe store with 4 boxes of shoes. I knew, as former retail security person, that something was hinkey with this guy. So I kept an eye on him while I was shopping. He made his move and I followed to see if I could get a picture. But store was already on it and the floor supervisor was taking pictures herself. When I asked why they did not stop him she said nobody was trained and company policy was not to confront and let the police handle it. She also said that no employee was worth getting hurt over a pair of shoes. She also said that if they stopped the guy and he got hurt, ready for this, he could hold the company liable. Crazy!!

We watch gangs strip the shelves in stores on you tube while customers and employees watch in awe. They come in with lawn trash bags and sweep the shelves clean and prosecutors won't prosecute. Then, the community leaders whine when CVS, Walgreens, etc close their stores in those areas. Gee, wonder why? Miss T and I were at home depot, and tool sets in boxes were locked to the shelves. Really? It's come to this...

I won't post the links as many of the news videos get political, and the comments definitely do, but you can google the youtube vids for walgreens closing due to mass thefts, or just businesses forced to close due to mass thefts.
