A brilliant writer passed away today, P.J. O'Rourke, the conservative satirist and political commentator. He's made me laugh and think for so many years. Just a bit more brilliance to mourn.

The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer and remove the crab grass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then get elected and prove it.

No. I don't think so. His humor only works because of the subject matter (political parties). It isn't a political statement. Nonetheless, you've got authority to edit or delete it.

I understand what you're saying. As you know though, these types of posts can lead to others sharing their political opinions.
No harm done. I see no reason to edit or delete at this point. Just wanted to head it off at the pass, which apparently worked so far. ☺
