the newest tropical depression of the 2021 hurricane season developed Wednesday morning over the eastern Atlantic .... meteorologists say it's only a matter of time before it develops into a tropical storm .... with 19 depressions and named systems so far, this feature has been designated as Tropical Depression 20. The next name on the dwindling list of tropical storm names for the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season is Victor .... forecasters expect south to southwest steering breezes to develop over the central Atlantic in the vicinity of Tropical Depression 20. These breezes will curve the system northward over the east-central part of the basin and well away from the Caribbean Islands, Bermuda and North America from this weekend into next week.

Tropical Storm Victor could strengthen into a hurricane .... forecasters say there is a window for the tropical storm to become a hurricane briefly over the open Atlantic, but it is not expected to be a threat to land.
