My, what a difference in price. Small parts sure add up. But, price may be relative. People probably made about $2 an hour. So, a $40 firearm was 50% of a week's pay. At $25 an hour, you probably be able to buy a S&W .38 for $500. Yet, few probably would. Because, firearms may not play the role in our society, as it once did. People seem to rely on others more to provide for them than themselves: e.g. food or self-defense. I guess that is what a modern society looks like.

I watched the movie "Snowden" here a while back, and in there was this quote that stuck with me.
Not sure who said it, but it went something like this "Most Americans don't care about Freedom, they just want Security"
And I believe that is a pretty accurate statement in regards to lot of our citizens these days.

I can agree with that quote. I just wonder how far are we willing to go. Are we willing to live in glass houses and walk around without clothes? At that point, there want be too much to hide.
