TX is #21

The Texas Legislature (both Houses) passed HB 1927 (Permitless carry bill) today, adopting the recommendation of the Conference Committee Report, that resolved some minor differences between the House and Senate. The bill goes to the Governor for signature, and he's promised he will sign it. Welcome to the Club, Texas. :D

Not in my mind, but a lot of people are having fried crow for breakfast this morning.

Here's the current list and basic info on the status of permitless carry nationwide. Includes a map. Note that only 3 States are "Residents Only". The other 18 States open it up to visitors as well. Texas will be in the later category as of 1 Sept, when the law goes into effect. Either way (permit or not, reciprocity agreement or not) a visitor remains subject to the laws of the State they are visiting.

Doubtful, :D
When I went to renew mine a couple years back, they had changed the length of time between renewals.
Was like every 5 years, now it's 8 years, and they offered a lifetime.
Glad I chose the 8.

Thought about the Lifetime deal, but at age 77, didn't make sense, at that price. Mine expires 2026. I'll cross that bridge when
I get there.
