Fascinating, Forty. I have been a history buff for most of my adult life. I nearly went down that path while in college. I am mainly interested in Texas and Western history. I have missed a great opportunity to visit and study the rich history of the War of Northern Aggression. I am hoping to correct that omission soon.
Thanks for the heads-up on that series of videos.

I found a lot of info. about the battles in my area that I didn't know. It is a great series of videos. Living right in the area of these battles makes me wonder what it all sounded like if I were standing in my yard back in 1864. The Crater area is right across the river from where we live.
A neighbor on the next street had a huge old oak cut down couple years ago and the tree guys estimated it to be 150-200 years old so if it could only have told it's tales!

I lived in Virginia for almost twenty years. Loved the place. I am a student of history and tried to visit as many historic sites as I could in my spare time. There were too man. I missed some. A couple of year s ago I was back and visited Antietam Sharpsburg. I also revisited Bull Run.

I'll hopefully be back again.
