Yeah, I’ve been hankering for a smaller pontoon boat for a bit now. This week I have done some searches of local dealers inventory and there is very little available. They are advertising boats that are on order but not much on hand. I’m thinking this will make the prices crazy like most other products these days. Jim, not surprised how fast that boat sold and congrats to your son’s new boat.

a few pictures of his new one .... its a 22' Center Console that can float in 6" of water .... 140 hp 4 cycle Suzuki .... its built to be used as a saltwater flats fishing boat .... our SeaPro boat, motor and trailer were all built to handle saltwater in has never been used anything but fresh lake and river water .... unless there is a major change in direction, I doubt it will be used for fishing .... for their use, he wants a very stable boat with a large open area .... they often have other families go with them .... they motor out into lakes around here and setup on a bank or anchor out in a cove where they swim and the kids play in the water .... I have no experience with Suzuki motors but must say I'm impressed at what I've read and seen in various videos .... they have a long history of being used in areas where they don't tend to get good care and still deliver good service over time .... NO, it doesn't take a truck the size of ours to tow it .... we were just using the truck to move it around the yard .... he's towed it for a hundred or so miles with an F150 EchBoost 6 cylinder and is happy with the way the rig handles

Very nice JE. I'm sure there will be many hours spent on the water in it.
I currently have four old boats. Well, two boats and two canoes. We live on a lake with no
boat launch so I wrestled an old 14 foot Alumacraft and an old Herter's 18 foot canoe down the hill
to the lake, and there they will stay forever.
I also have an old Sea Sprite that is made for big water, (yes, we do have some here in Minnesooota),
that I just had repaired so we can use it to go fishing. It was a ski boat but all the kids are gone now
so Grandma and I will just use it for fishing. I'm not getting on skies again and neither is Grandma.
I also have a very nice 18 foot cedar strip canoe which we only take to the primitive areas.
I had a Catamaran sail boat but Carol thought I had a few too many boats to license. :?
Anyway, enjoy.

we hauled off an old set of skis and even older knee board yesterday .... they both should have been thrown away long ago .... .... my wife has 2 sisters and one brother who live in Minnesota .... the brother and brothers-in-law all fish and have boats in their families .... arthritic fingers ended my casting for bass many years ago and trolling for walleye has become my favorite form of fresh water fishing

Mine as well and they taste so much better than bass anyway.👍

I like those center console boats. When I was a kid we had some people around that had a Boston Whaler. That boat was a blast on Puget Sound

a pontoon is the only boat I've really wanted and never owned .... at my age, its most likely going to stay that way .... for most lakes and a great many rivers they make an outstanding boat
