Some Earth Day work today....

Post by fortyshooter » Thu Apr 22, 2021 5:38 pm

Was down at my range property today to do some trail clearing along the creek for the foot bridge project. Great day for it too being a sunny but chilly day. Was using my Honda weed eater with brush cut blade and my small battery powered chain saw. First picture show remains of an old beaver dam. I had cleared out some of it and the bridge will be in that narrow area.
Started clearing out a trail on other side of creek and found that another smaller creek is located on other side.

Love the creek. Any fish in there? Bluegills, maybe?

Lol. Always hoping, aren’t we? Love it.

I haven't seen any in the shallow areas but it is much deeper up near the road where I have seen some activity. I do know that a couple of
Blue Heron visit the creek and they would know! https://youtu.be/xyZ7SiFtxjI

That sure is some good looking Earth you have there!

Funny about that second creek. My wife has been directing me in some brush clearing (only 1” thorns :( ) I I keep telling her that behind every bush is another bush. She still hasn’t figured it out.

Ouch...1 inch thorns call for some caution and a nice brush cutter! We have those briar vines that pop up everywhere and I try and chop them out along any trails. Hate those things!
