Can't sell 'em if they don't have 'em. Bare shelves will definitely slow sales.

The back and forth of supply and demand.

My favorite LGS has three rows of floor racks with long guns on them. Probably 50’ long each. Two are back to back racks and the third is a single row. When I was in there last week they had removed one entire row (two sided) and replaced the racks with safes. I think they did this in order to consolidate the guns they have available. The racks were starting to look a bit thin. Now they are “full” again.

I wonder how well the gun manufacturers are doing. This shop has not had a shipment of Henry’s that I’m aware of. They are a gold dealer not blue so I suppose they have to buy from distributors. Hopefully the manufacturers are able to get the raw materials and components needed to produce firearms.

Only store I've been to lately was Walmart. It had a few guns,
but were off brands I wasn't familiar with. No Henry's. No ammo.

I'm thinking it's likely a combination of the lack of supply and the ridiculous prices many greedy dealer's are putting on the guns the do get in. 100% markup? I know a couple people who were looking for specific guns, and had been unable to find them anywhere. Another who had ordered a handgun for use as his new uniformed carry weapon. The department requires the officers to provide their own equipment, and the duty weapons can be chosen from a list of about a dozen. He was upgrading. When he initially checked into the gun he wanted, it was xxx. When the dealer finally got one in, it was 1.5 times that price. He still bought it. :? Ammunition for duty in that caliber had doubled.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I have enough sidearms, but I'm trying to decide between the M1A, the Tavor, or the Colt AR. All three (and a few others) have been in the display case at the AF Exchange for about 3 months. I can afford one, but not all 3. :?

I guess the shooting ranges are hurting as well. Ammo scarce.
