Some kind of record of people in a vehicle!

Post by fortyshooter » Tue Mar 02, 2021 4:48 pm

Saw it on the news this afternoon... On the Mexico/California border a Ford Excursion with 25 people in it in a wreck with a gravel truck!
Didn't turn out well for the south of the border folks with 13 getting killed. How do you breathe with 25 people in a vehicle like that? How do you fit 25 people in a vehicle like that? How many were alive before the collision? That could be close to 2 tons of people in the thing with a totally bottomed out suspension and most likely a tire blow out involved!

That is so sad, but I am also very glad the driver died, so he was not aware of the complete chaos that he created. I thought this sort of thing was confined to undeveloped Third World countries.

Take all but the driver and front passenger seat out and stack 'em like cordwood.

Not even an Excursion, just an older Expedition. Seating for six.

Yep seems it was a smuggle operation and they were stacked in like sardines and this is just one case and sure many others like it. The door is wide open!

There was a second vehicle with a couple of dozen right behind the one that was struck. Gonna bite my tongue now and move on.

I first thought the media made a mistake when they said "SUV". As I said that there is no way to fit that many people in one, but when I saw it on TV this morning, I guess they did. Pretty crazy.
