Well I got back to the puzzle this afternoon and finished it in a little over 1.5 hrs.

Well, mine's not going that well. Too many distractions, plus just downright hard. Think I should have done like RR said. & got one by Fisher Price, LOL.

The 500 piece ones are not too bad, but then for the 1000 pieces puzzles, you really have to do some starin'!

One of my first puzzles that I remember was one of the United States. I guess that is why I got interested in geography, cartography and astronomy...one thing leads to another.
OFF TOPIC: Same with the old comic books. When they were cheap and only cost a nickel or a dime, I would read every one I could lay my hands on. Reading comics led to reading more mature books and slowly but surely, my reading speed increased. Anybody else have the Closed Captions turned on while watching TV shows or movies? One thing leads to another...

Prints of course, couldn't afford originals.

We used to do puzzles all the time. Bigger and bigger ones, with smaller and smaller pieces after the kids all left and the dining room table was free. Finally a giant 5000 piece monster. It was a killer, but we finally finished it, then took it apart, boxed it back up, and gave all the puzzles to one of my daughters. I never had the urge to do another. But....

One year I did come across a Giant Rooster puzzle, live edged, 2500 pieces, bought it for miss T for Christmas. She put it together, then glued it on a backing and coated the front with puzzle magic to protect the colors. She hung it in her studio.

Some old timers I know tell how Redlin lived in the area when he was starting out and would go door to door
trying to sell his work so he could eat. Some of them purchased early Redlin's for a song. Wish I had an
original.

I did drink a few cold ones putting it together.
Roughly 16 hrs I believe.

The only time I watch "the tube" is when I'm on the treadmill....about twice a year.
