Covid closer to home.
Covid closer to home.
News that 12 in-laws have tested positive. Includes my son in law's dad, two uncles , and various other relatives. Outdoor B-day party center of infection. No one sick but concerns for the seniors. Ironically, the only one who did not test positive was his mom. But she is a retired nurse and she was masked. Folks, this plague is not going away. Please practice safety protocols.

Re: Covid closer to home.
Yep you never know who might have it and it IS difficult to enjoy time with family wearing a mask.
Upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays is going to be VERY difficult for family.
My sister who lives in a very small Georgia town had her brother in law catch it after he and his wife attended a social gathering with a few friends at a home. Both my sister and he are in their 80's and last I heard he was in the hospital.

Prayers to all but life as we knew it will never be the same. This thing is here forever, I am afraid , and a lot of people refuse to take the necessary precautions. Grown adults around our country are acting like grade school kids not wanting to listen to Mom and Dad which means, it will only get worse.

Yah, scary times for sure, but my family has discovered zoom and we are making the most of it. No substitute for visiting in person, but it has greatly eased the pain and loneliness.

Re: Covid closer to home.
My daughter ( age 29 ) got it over the summer when her fiance contracted it from an employment encounter at a senior living facility. She had childhood asthma and couldn't breath. An ER visit found both had the disease. Both were quarantined for several weeks. She got some medication to make her breath easier and didn't need to be hospitalized. She has since recovered and says she is mostly feeling all right.
I hope your family recovers as well.

A guy I grew up with, hunting, fishing, died with Covid a few weeks ago. Had been in the hospital 2 weeks. He was a couple of years younger than me. Don't know if he had any underlying conditions, hadn't seen him in years.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

This is so weird. I also have a fishing buddy and we meet up every so often on a bridge we fish. It is never planed and I noticed that I had not seen him in awhile. Saw him last week and discovered he had been in the hospital with Covid for fourteen days. His recovered but he has lost a lot of weight. Sister gave in to him, ironically, at their fishing cabin.
