Fires non lethal round projectiles that contain irritants.
Not a firearm, no permit required.
No background checks.
No waiting period.
A variety of colors and projectiles.
CO2 powered.

Kinda spendy I think, but also looks practical. Course if this doesn't slow them down

The biggest issue I have with it is that it looks too much like a real pistol, but you don't have the stopping power of a real pistol. That could get you killed in some circumstances.

I can also see a call to the local popo if you carry it somewhere that might be inappropriate to be carrying a handgun. You might even end up with an arrest for disturbing the peace, or some other infraction, if the police thought they needed to do something. At the least, they would likely sternly warn you not to carry that thing in public.

In my mind it's a good idea, that is probably a really bad idea.

Police already have less lethal weapons, no need for this one.
In civilian hands, good way to get shot. If I have to pull my weapon, I dont intend to irritate him.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

If your at that point where you have to clear leather something has gone way wrong, and your life is in jeapordy I don't plan on sending an irritant towards the bad guy.

It could be useful for keeping the neighborhood hooligans off your grass, but that’s about it. I think you’d wind up with assault charges laid on you if you used it unless it’s a clear case of self defence with witnesses. If you put a bad guy down for real, it’s just your side that’s on the record, whereas with this, your wouldbe assailant could become the “victim”.
