At least not for the foreseeable future. 8-)

August Shatters Another Gun Sales Record

A Washington Free Beacon analysis of FBI data released on Tuesday found a 57 percent increase in sales compared to August 2019. There were at least 1.6 million sales in August 2020. Only two previous Augusts had broken a million sales, though limitations in FBI reporting means that not every gun sale is captured in the data. August represents the sixth month in a row to set a new sales record with March seeing the most gun sales of any month in the history of the FBI background check system.

Sales thus far in 2020 have soared past previous years. Sales through the first eight months of the year are up 43 percent over the previous record.

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

I'm sure Henry is getting some of the action, but they were shut down for a couple months, so the only sales were what shops and distributors had on hand. And the majority of sales have been AR'S, Pistols, and Shotguns. That said, retail availability (nationally) of those has just about dried up so folks are starting buy whatever they can lay hands on. There's some expectation that with deer season almost upon us that hunting guns and ammo sales will pick up, so that should help out Henry.

My lgs is pretty well stocked on everything, including Henry.

Plus will ammo and reloading products ever catch up to larger demand?

Dropped off 20 rifles and handguns at my LGS and sold 8 last week. I tell him what I want and he gets what he can. He has no ARs left as of today.
