My Grandson, a Gatling Gun, and Legos

Post by runnin n gunnin » Tue Aug 25, 2020 2:07 pm

I posted a picture in March of my grandson making a Colt Python out of legos after picking up my 4 inch snake. Those who saw it could see the cylinder turned, hammer cocked, etc all made out of a bunch of plastic bricks.

So I brought my 9 year old grandson with me to my favorite gun store to pick up my 6 inch Python the other day. The gent who is my go to for all gun purchases tells him, "Hey, you want to see something really cool? " He brings us around the counter and there sits a brand new Tippman 9mm Gatling gun. (If you have not seen this here is a gun review https://gunsmagazine.com/discover/the-t ... g-9mm-gun/)

It is shinny, brass, and looks really cool. At $5,000 its a very expensive toy, and of course Jr. wants the old man to buy it. No can do !

So I returned him to his owners (the grandson that is) and a week later he comes over to show me his Gatling gun he made out of legos.

Out of a box of bricks he made this. Not only does it look like the real thing, he has a crank that turns and it fires ! ! ! !

I stand for the flag, and kneel for my fallen brothers.

Kid has a future as an engineer! Way cool.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

You have an engineer in the making right there! Outstanding! And what a memory.

Wow...very creative! Back in the day we had the Erector Set! The prices of the 3D composite printers is coming down to an affordable level and that's where new tech is headed!
