A Facebook acquaintance sent me this link this morning. He's a old big band junkie like me. I couldn't help notice all the cowboy attire worn by the spectators. The music isn't that band either. Edit: Just noticed Buddy Rich on the drums looking at it for the second time.

Now that's music. I have a good size collection of 20's to 40's music. 1930's big hotel type orchestra is my favorite.

Good clip. My Grandparents owned a ballroom here on a local lake, and arranged for Jimmy Dorsey's band to play one winter. As I was told there was a big blizzard and while the band did make it from Chicago only two couples made it besides my parents and my Aunt and Uncle. Seems they had the whole show to themselves and had a great time, but did not make any money.
