Road Trip New York State

Specifically the Finger Lakes region. This won't be in Chronological order as I am just not that organized. I decided to start out with some cool photos of some Fredrick Remington Bronze. This was in the Village of Hornell where my parents grew up. We were visiting my Aunt who lives there now. She took us to a great little restaurant named Marino's and the place had these beauties displayed. There were about 9 more but I didn't want to stand on top of people while they were eating.









This one was a little too dark but cool looking cowboys shooting up the sky.












This stage coach is about 2 feet long.

Those are some of my favorite statue art. That must be some restaurant. I'll have to check it out.

A word of caution: some of the firearms laws in the NE are insane. Be very careful if you are transporting any.

That's a very good point Hack. Anyone traveling with a firearm should be familiar with all the laws in any state they are traveling through, destination or not. Especially handguns. Some states recognize other states carry permits. I know that my Empire state of NY does not. It's fairly easy to research on the internet these days.

My late husband loved that region of NY and the rest of New York as I did. The Mid Atlantic region and up to and inside Maine can't be beat when it comes to GOOD, KIND and FRIENDLY PEOPLE in my opinion. You can't beat the scenery except for some places out west too.

PS:

I want to take my MT born and raised husband to the East Coast when he finally retires which is not too far off now.

I want to see some special places in MD, CT, NY and in Maine. (My forefathers hailed from those places on my late Mom's side since a few ships past the Mayflower. My older brother and some old friends still live in MD, NY, CT, and in Maine.)

The rest have moved away or died.

I only have a few friends left in the Great Lakes region - rural area where I lived with my late husband until his death. I lived there for a long time - most of my adult life.

Can't wait for the northern zone to open for hunting
Every October I take my uncle up to Newcombe
And we go on a fall foliage horse and wagon ride
5 miles into a great Adirondack camp on Newcomb lake.

We are going to bike into Santanonni this year. My fiance's mother lived there as a child. Her father was a logger and logged the property.
