Another Mystery Continues...

Post by Mistered » Tue Oct 22, 2019 9:11 pm

I just learned today Robert Rackstraw died in June of this year.

He was very much in the conspiracy world of being a potential suspect as D. B. Cooper - along with some very compelling circumstantial evidence as well as a lot of odd connections to people and places in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest in general.

I have been a 'junkie' of the D. B. Cooper story since I was young and have always been always fascinated by it.

Since my name is Cooper and I worked for the FAA I have been teased about him for years. OK, so he is my Uncle.

Seriously, the only folks who ever saw him were the members of the Northwest crew. No one else! There has always been
speculation that he never existed and that a Northwest crew made lot of money, but no way to prove whether it happened
or not.

Wow I never heard this one before.
I was in the National Guard with the son of Ralph Himmelsbach, the Special Agent who was in charge of the investigation.
I see he just passed away on the 4th. - Ralph not the son.

The real twist in the story was the $5800 found on the shore of the Columbia River in 1980 and was part of the D.B Cooper money.
I recently watched another story about it and it was concluded the money had been artificially made to look weathered and was no doubt 'placed' in the spot it was found.

Some fool wasted $5800 for that nonsense?

Maybe not so much a fool as opposed to an intellectual plan to throw off the investigation.
And not a terrible sacrifice out of $200,000.

No, it was real money - not crops.
In case you are unaware this all has to do with the November 24, 1971 skyjacking of a Boeing 727 by the alleged D.B. Cooper.
Perhaps you have never heard of it.
