I just pulled mine out of the safe, it just has Mossberg and no model number.
Looks like the 500. I've had it for a great number of years so maybe the early models weren't called 500's.

Look under the receiver just forward of the shell lifter, that's where all three of my mossy's have the model numbers...

Vaquero, I hunted 3 days during the spring season without seeing or hearing any toms. We saw drakes and hens. In sw fla we had a warm early spring and the turkeys spawned 3 weeks before the season opened. I'll try again in the fall.

Whoa! I’m rich as I have several hundred of them. I bought a Henry Axe and a Henry lever to make noise with them.

I really like a nice 410. Back when I was in high school, we had weekly turkey shoots in the fall/winter. A buddy had a 410 double barrel and the old geezers would roll their eyes when he signed up with the 410. They weren't rolling their eyes when he left with a ham or turkey nearly every week.

Plenty of 410 shot ammo around here but if I need to slug something with a .410 bore....45 0r .44 comes to mind!
