Tom have a friend up in MN that has a Franchi O/U 2 barrel set 12/20, but I have no clue as to the model.
I know he likes it quite a bit. I could ask if ya like?

Hi Tom. I was indeed looking at 20 gauge O/Us. I ended up buying 2.

First was a Tristar, which is a smaller US company having guns built to a “higher standard” in Turkey. This one is a 26” barrel alloy receiver model for my wife to shoot (I bought for her as a gift for passing her hunters ed) but I end up carrying it a fair bit if we are together or if it’s really wet out.

Second was indeed a Franchi. It’s the same one your friend is considering, the Instinct L. I absolutely love it. It is so well balanced, and honestly, a nicer gun than the Berettas and Brownings that people love to love. The color case receiver and walnut are really nice on mine. If it fits right, it is a hell of a gun for the money. The only thing that I might like is the lighter weight of the SL version, but the color case is just so much nicer to look at!

I carry both these guns on long days bird hunting in steep country, so they get used, and I’ve been really pleased with both of them.

Its a good way to lean! Proper fit is key though, as I’m sure you know. I really wanted a Beretta, but they just don’t fit me. When I win the lotto I’ll be looking at a custom Fausti...
