I used it the other day to rid one of my equipment tarps of the freeloading field mice that had camped out under the biggest tarp all winter. I spread it out to give it some sun. At the end of the day, predictably, the mice emerged when I moved the tarp slightly. They were pretty big for field mice, but it probably made them easier to hit with the small gun. About 7 to ten yards away.
First the two culprits and then the garden gun with them. I placed the empty shells over each one. A solid brass rimfire shell with a cardboard disc over the end to keep everything in place.
