interesting collection .... just curious as to the reason for keeping some unfired

JEB, Couldn't tell ya why they are unfired. Picked up the Dan Wesson after a KC visit with the 1911 Addicts folks, one guy had a DW and after shooting it, I had to have one. About a year or so later found one. Then just stayed in the safe. The Ruger is one that my Brother gave me, got shoved to the back of the safe and forgotten. During the week, I concentrate on the guns needed for the upcoming Sunday match, and don't take anything else. So it's fault, just need better time management and use a variety of guns.

I have been guilty of the same thing!
Take in a couple guns due to a trade or other deal and they sometimes get forgotten for a while.
One thing I do not have (and will never have) are any 'safe queens' that will remain unfired!

well understood .... at times I tend to really get focused on firearm and simply don't take any others out on trips to a range

Nice collection, thanks for sharing. Got a fair amount of those myself.
I have a couple of Black Powder pistols that I haven't gotten around to shooting yet, but
everything else here has been shot.

Nice collection, B! I remember that DW from the KC Shoot. Can't believe you haven't shot that one! Bring it down this fall and we'll break it in!

Nice picture of your collection. I have one of those Jerry M nines myself. I really like it but I dont shoot it much. But when I do that gun makes a guy look like a world class shooter. Its very accurate.

Thumbs up on your very nice assortment of wheel guns, B. Certainly will keep the range visits interesting and fun.
And a most

comment when you said, "Didn't know I had this many." I've read any number of threads here and on other Forums about that very thing. Caught my eye because I've been seriously "thinning my herd" lately. My goal is to get to a handgun group of three: one S/A revolver in 45 Colt, one rimfire semi-auto in .22LR, and one .50 CAL cap & ball BP pistol. I have my other two revolvers now up for sale on the web, and hoping they leave the herd soon!
One thing my oldest daughter said to me years ago finally now makes more sense to my thinking. Firearms are not her favorite thing. But since her husband is in law enforcement and is an avid hunter, he has quite a large collection. My daughter said to me,
"How many guns can you shoot at one time?" Duh, I couldn't answer that back then as I was buying more and more on a regular basis. Finally, I can comfortably answer her now. Interesting how we change as hobbies and interests take different roads.
All that hooey said, I do miss some of the revolvers I once had.....
Thanks for that great photo! I enjoyed it.
