This was my first six shooter I bought back in 2009 the Ruger New Vaquero .45 Colt.
I had sold it to a friend 3 years ago to purchase some other revolvers and after shooting it again recently I wanted it back.
Traded him another Ruger for it and it's back home for good this time!
Built the first year of the New Vaquero's in 2005 it is a really sweet accurate shooter!

congrats .... looks like she's been well cared for .... many of us have let a firearm go and later regretted doing so .... looking forward to your report after you get her back out and send some rounds down range

Thanks! There was a real story behind the selling of this gun....
I had bought this as a used gun from the local gun shop on my birthday back in 2009.

Well about 3 years ago an elderly neighbor down the street had 2 really nice S&W revolvers he wanted to sell to me..
A really nice 629-2E .44 Mag which is sought after these days and a nice M-66 .357 made in 1976.

To get the funds together I offered to sell this New Vaquero to the young fellow who lived across from this elderly neighbor.
Well it all worked out and I got a pair of really nice Smiths for a good deal.

I traded my Ruger .45 ACP Birdshead to this young fellow for my ol' New Vaquero.

Not only cool that you got an old gun, back, but one you know is a great shooter, too. Congrats.
