Heritage Rough Rider Grip Thread

Post by Danwin22 » Fri May 06, 2016 10:18 pm

Thought I might start a thread on various grips available for the popular Heritage Rough Rider Single Action .22

My 6.5" RR came with Imitation Aged Ivory Grips.

I bought these Checkered Cocobolo grips directly from Heritage.

The 4.75" model came with wood grips.

I like the checkered grips. I had posted this photo before but we'll do it again.Image

I have the Cocobolo on my Heritage 22./wmr. It is interesting to note that these are mad by Altamount. I have three grips for my Ruger Blackhawk 357/9mm. The Ruger store sell aftermarket grips and these are also Altamount but with the Ruger logo. However, I opted away from the Logo and bought directly from Altamount. There is no question Altamount makes a very nice grip. I purchased a custom grip from a well known source using a exotic wood, but have to tell you that I love the Altamount grips much better. And the cost about 50% less. The laser checkering is finely done and the coloring is first class. Way to go Altamount.

Recently bought the center gun but changed grips to show the three styles.

I still have the stock grips on mine, but those checkered grips are really nice looking.

Sooner or later I need a nice-looking western rig to show off these Rough RIders.

I like the looks of the Triple-k "1890's holster" and their "Wyoming Drop Belt."
