It's actually a Sig P-220 Combat in .45 ACP

Here are my 1911's...Both Springfield.

TRP .45 and EMP .9mm

I have small hands so I learned single stacks work better for me. The P-220 is a single stack.
is 9mm versions as good as 45 acp, on 1911 (reliability... )?
never seen or tried it...

I have a Springfield Range Officer full sized 1911 in 9mm and it is very reliable. It shoots everything I have tried, factory ball, hand loads with XTP hollow points and plated bullets. I say it’s as much fun to shoot as a .357 lever action carbine. A funny side story, on the local gun trader site there has been some discussion about 9mm 1911’s and a guy noted (in jest). “Having a 1911 in 9mm is like having a Camaro with the V6”. (Not to disrespect V6 Camaro’s, I’ve driven one with the 5 speed and is was very fast).

That’s cause none of us are as good as we once was
But, with luck, we're as good once as we ever was!

Sorry - couldn't help myself!

Winchester Ranger 30-30, an early AE Model. The recently acquired High Standard 1911. Need some stag grips on the pistol, then I could call it the Longmire edition. 😁😉

Al, I ran one mag through it, just to check the function.
It ran flawless, startin to warm up around here.
If my partner is feeling better we're going to work today.
If not, it'll be a good day to play with some firearms.

357M beauties!

The Henry has had the rear sight pulled and replaced with a blank and an RPP aperture. The lever takedown screw is replaced and the light is there mostly as just a place to keep it. I mean, useful if things go bump in the night outside and there is something more than a hungry raccoon digging around for grubs.
The Kimber has had the entirely too small original grips replaced with the grips for a 4" Combat model. I need Hogue to step up and make the combat size over molded mono grips.
