This past week I ordered a bird's head grip frame for a Ruger. It's SS but I still want to try it on the 45 colt Vaquero which is a a case hardened frame. And it may end up on the 44, we'll see.
A before and after pic.
Haven't tried it out just yet but will before the end of the day. ;)

I like it, and it shot well and had no problem holding on to it. (she had already left for her grandmothers) :lol:
Heck it was 10:00 anyway. ;) I generally wait til 8 unless I go down by the barn.

Maybe I need to find one and give it a try. Lord knows I have enough Rugers to try it out on. All mine are New Model Blackhawks though.
