Anyone else looking at this one? I think I will be buying one.

It's a nice looking gun. The 44 special, though, you almost have to reload, as factory ammo is expensive.

decades ago we gave both of our sons GP100's chambered for 357 ..... they have been and continue to be excellent revolvers .... both have taken deer with them .... its the only revolver I've never owned that I'd really like to have .... 44 specials are fun to shoot in our Redhawk 44 Mag .... should you purchase a GP 44 Spec. I really look forward to your range reports

I reload for every firearm I own; not a problem. The 44 Special pretty much just begs to be tweaked.

I have viewed that revolver with great interest . To me anyone who is really serious about firearms and shooting is involved in at least two things, reloading and a membership in the N.R.A.

I just learned about these. I'm a Ruger and a 44 mag fan. I've always thought a reasonably light 44 spl wheelgun would be so nice. Great woods gun.

I like my S&W 696 a lot. I haven't cozied up to my .357 GP100 that much. I'm glad to see the .44 special get some more exposure.

Have always loved the 44 Special, but it's always been something I've shot in the 44 mags. I think the 44 Special deserves more guns specifically chambered for it, though. Great old cartridge. Still something to be said for a self-defense revolver cartridge that leaves big holes. Glad to see Ruger chamber it in the GP.

I think I'm serious about firearms and shooting, but I only reload, so maybe not. Please don't tell my wife, though. Since I began this sport in Dec. 2013, I've spent a lot of money on training, permits, guns, ammunition, range fees, reloading equipment, and components. She'd be very disappointed to know that after all of that and with the amount of time I spend on it, that I'm only half serious. It'd break her heart.

I think Ruger has come up with another winner here. One thing to watch for is the front sites have a gap between the part to the rear of the dovetail and the barrel rib. To me this shows sloppy workmanship.

I like the looks of that revolver. I don't need another gun right now.....grrrrrrrr.

One that got away. Sold a GP100 in the .357 years ago and still regret it. The man told me, "Son, you'll be out of a gun and your money. I'd keep it." Haste makes waste. Thought I had to have the cash for another purchase. The 44 special sounds like a winner. Something to look into.

Not the GP100, but I just had a .44spl snubby fall into my lap.
A friend who owns a gun shop took it in on trade. He knows I'm a sucker for the big-bore hand cannons.
I got a total titanium Taurus model 455T 5-shot with a 2" barrel.

It's used, but in pristine condition, and I gave all of $300 for it, out the door.

I reload, so I wasn't worried about factory ammo costs.
