Trying that hand bazooka out, there were 2 out of 3 persons that took the challenge. The younger fellow sure showed everyone how the recoil felt! And he was a good sport about the hand/wrist pain....

There is practically no recoil protection at all on that derringer, or a revolver either -- other than a thicker, quality rubber grip. Unlike a semi-auto pistol where the slide lessens some felt recoil, the derringer will "pass it on" in full force to the hand. The .357 Magnums out of my derringer pound out a quite stout, although manageable, recoil. But I don't walk away from the range shaking my hand in the wind! Wondering how it will handle the .45LC?

It would be interesting to hear from the 2 why they shot the derringer, and from the 1 why he said "no way."
Thanks for the vid posting....fun to watch from a distance.

Not my cup of tea, but I guess some would want one. It doesn't look fun.

You know the 45-70/45LR and .410 combination made me think that a .410/.22WMR would be nice.

I've owned 5 American Derringer in my life . They don't have a rebounding firing pin which is a big deal in a derringer if you shut the gun on a loaded round and it is not sitting on 1/2 cock or safety on it could go off . This is my opinion the Bond derringer is a far better made gun .
