Ive had problems putting the 22/45 together and finally figured it out after watching a 60 second video. I just took it apart and put it together about a dozen times. I canβt believe how simple it is.

Tilt the gun forward until the hammer drops in place?

Yes and help it with your fingers. Then insert the pin and squeeze the trigger. I practiced it a few more times and can put it together in 15 seconds.

I too am a fan of Ruger MK II pistols and still have three. Although I can disassemble, clean and reassemble them (and do rso egularly), I still can't reassemble one in 15 seconds.
Sir Henry has my respect.

Isn't the internet awesome sometimes? I remember when you would have to read about a process in a manual, a pamphlet, or a book. Now you just watch a few videos and you can do it just like you were shown.
I'm glad you got the hang of it Gene. I've always heard the Ruger .22s were tough to disassemble and reassemble.

Most videos are too complicated. Ive watched dozens of them and most were 5 to 20 minutes long. The video that actually taught me was 30 seconds. It told me everything i needed to know and nothing else. I don't need a 5 minute lecture on how hard it is because i already know that.

Not hard.........But I don't see the need in tearing them down each shooting session.......I can count on one hand how many times my MK II has been torn down in the last 20 years.........Easy enough to clean without doing it.
