Ruger Single Six In .17HMR

Post by Rampant Colt » Wed Aug 27, 2025 4:37 am

Here’s a fairly rare Ruger, all stainless steel, cocobolo grips in .17HMR.

(2009-2011) a Davidson's Distributors exclusive with Model number 10663 and catalogue designation of KNR-5-17. Smooth, dark cocobolo grips with silver eagle medallions having red backgrounds. Top strap with caliber marking along with Ruger logo. Scarce, limited production model (less than 300 total; 117 in 5 1/2” Bb) in uncommon caliber: 17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire caliber. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching numbered factory gray plastic box with lock and packaging.

It’s a tack driver provided there’s no wind. A rest helps too. :D

Collecting Colts is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side.

Nice Ruger. I've had so many Single Sixes in my life that I've almost lost track of them all, but the 17 HMR is one I've never had or shot. You're right, they are rarely seen. Would love to see a range report, sometime.
