Had to scratch that itch on this one!

I have an 1892 Winchester rifle in 44-40 made in 1895 and added a very nice old looking Cimarron 44-40 six shooter as a companion. However that itch has been to find a good derringer in 44-40 to match. Like looking for that Unicorn nothing used to find and nothing new being made in that caliber EXCEPT for American Derringer Corp in Texas that still make derringers of many styles but few at a time.
So placed an order for the 3 inch M-1 version High Polished stainless steel in 44-40. Sent along a dummy round of what I load that runs in both my other guns as they requested as 44-40 chamberings can be all over the place size wise. And the long wait begins!

Yes, I can understand. I seen one in .38 Special, years back (93 or so) and liked it. So, I pulled the trigger. As long as it bang, I will keep it around:

I had one in 22 mag. that looked a lot like that. I don't remember the make.
Youngest daughter liked it so much that I gave it to her for her 18th Bd.
My brother has one in a 32 cal.
The 44-40 will be a neat one.

Well shouldn't be any worse than the 45 Colt Bond Arms Grizzly I used to have until the hammer departed but time will tell. Hope it will be here by the time Spring arrives.

Mine does have some felt rrecoil. Yet being a two shot, there is time to recover for another two shot session.
