It's an interesting offering but I've personally never been into derringers. I think it's great that they're making money and others are happy purchasing them. I would not want to shoot a 45-70 in that format although the article claims the handgrip tames it.

Another company American Derringer has had a .45-70 derringer out for several years and it was a handful. This new Bond looks to be larger.

I had a 10" BFR in .45/70 which wasn't too bad with trapdoor level loads but everything changed with a 400 gr. Speer over 48 grs. of H4198... :shock: :lol: This Bond would be a novelty but....I'll stand back and watch. :lol:

Yeah...I had a BFR that I cut back to 5.5 inch The Hornady FTX 325's were fun to shoot with fireball ! Shot mostly 405 trapdoor loads too.
