Colt offers threaded barrel free of charge!

But only on $1500 buck specialty revolvers like Anaconda! Great attention to assembly detail fit and polish except most important part.
Was reading on a Colt forum that this is typical way all the barrels come Python and Anaconda. Some folks sent their gun back and Colt replaced barrel with one just like it! Pictures taken after barrel cleaned of all lead with Chor Boy. Angle of light did not show a shine.
The leading issue was actually on the outside groove that has no thread like cuts. Getting some lead together to slug the bore to check actual bore size. My SW M69 would lead up with MB cast bullets until I tried one of Matt's Bullets 230 gr cast lead SWC with gas check bullet. Shot those clean and accurate. Have 4 of those left to try one day.

I have seen those marks on several barrels but never that many and evenly spaced.

Called Colt this morning and the Snake will be on its way back home soon. Over the years I have had to send back a Ruger Alaskan and my S&W M-69 just after I had bought them. The Alaskan came back like a totally different gun from action work to finish. The Smith took 2 trips to get it right and it is a great shooter now too. Hope the same from Colt on the return trip.
