Me too on the revolver thing. Guess it's my advanced years showing and hey, I give autoloaders their due. No doubt about all their advantages and I've shot most of them for many, many years.

My first handgun was a revolver, though, and the last handgun I own will be a revolver and most likely one of the single actions I own right now. Good chance it will be this 1965 vintage Single Six.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

       Well, I don't think that will every be the case. Not having a revolver is like not liking apple. It is un-American. Plus, revolvers are no fuss. Just point and shoot: no safety, no chambering a round, no fail to load. Besides, this EC9s is just for fun. There is plenty of 9mm ammo out there. I think that I should do my part and shoot some.
Are none of your revolvers 9mm. You could always get one of these.

No, I do not own a 9mm revolver. I have seen a few. But, I am more of a traditionalist. It is not a bad idea. And if it was the only option, I probably would. To me, it's like a 9mm level action, which is not a bad idea; it would not be keeping with its heritage, which would mess up my thoughts about 'how the West was won.' Plus, I try and keep things as original as possible. I guess that I am not one must for change.

It has taken over 30 years to buy a semi-auto hand gun. Even though, I had carried and shot them for about 18 years. If it is not broken, I do not try and fix it. In this case, it is more about supply. Supply of .357 and .38 Special ammo does not seem to be as it once was. Since I have not started reloading yet, I figured that I should follow the supply. When I do start reloading, that probably will not be much of a concern. Due to the cost of 9mm ammo though, I may just buy factory anyway. But, time will tell.

I reload and reloading 9 mm isnt worth it to me I can buy it just as cheap. Bullets and primers cost almost as much as the loaded rounds. Then the powder at 45 to 50.00 a lb now.

I have owned a S&W 929 9mm as well as a couple of S&W 45 DAs in 45 auto. The issue with double action revolvers using semi-auto cartridges is the necessity for using moon clips. That's very doable, but it can also be a pain in the you know what. If you want to shoot 9mm or 45 auto or even 10mm in a revolver, go single action revolver. No moon clips needed.

45 auto in a 45 Colt/45 auto single action convertible setup is a great cartridge. Accuracy can rival a good 1911 and very cheap to shoot. The 9mm in a 357/9mm single action convertible does take a hit on accuracy because of the larger bore size of the 357 barrel. Very, very cheap to shoot, though, and lots of fun.

I had one of those S&W 929's. I also had the S&W 45 acp Miculek 625. I liked both of them but like NCG mentioned the moon clips are a pita. There just about as bad as the magazines. Sold both of them.

I guess that I have not been missing much, that is shooting 9mms in a revolver. Thanks for all of the replies! I will see how this EC9s goes, before I expand platforms. I do like revolvers. Yet, I like the size of the EC9s. If I like the way that it shoots, it may get more attention than my Derringer. But, I don't see it getting more than my revolvers. But, time will tell.

Not being a revolver guy, other than hearing the word and seeing Jerry use them in some of his videos I really had no idea about them. Watched this Jerry Miculek video, they do look like a pain to load but really not any harder than loading a magazine. With my arthritic fingers and thumbs there's no way I can get the last few rounds in a mag without using my Maglula loader.

Loved the comment on the video "Jerry has more ammo in that room than every gun store combined in the state of Illinois"

I like revolvers because I can get ALL my brass back to make another trip through the reloading press.
