22 Semi Auto pistols
My wife and I have been shooting our handguns at the range quite a bit now the weather is getting better. We have four 22 semi pistols now. My wife's is on the left front and is a Ruger MKII slab side. Left rear is my Browning Buck Mark UDX . Right side rear is my Ruger MKIII Hunter and front is my most recent and is a Ruger MKII 5.5 blued bull barrel. I added the MKIII Hunter grips to the MKII blued model and really like how it feels and I think it looks better now. We have been having a lot of fun shooting the spinners and empty shot shell hulls. We take two hand guns every time we go to the range now. BigAl is going to post pictures later for me. Many thanks to BigAl.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Some classic MKIIs there with the slabside and the 512. Had both back in the day and loved them. Thanks for sharing, bandit. Brings back a lot of memories.

When I want one of these, which for a one and only? Is the victory still top o the heap?

I have owned and still own the Rugers. Shooting competition in the Corps, we always shot the S&W model 41s. No matter where I was assigned, the armory had these in the match racks for rimfire competitions.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

i love 22lrs. I've owned a dozen ruger MKI,II,III's a number of them I assembled from VQ frames. I have three victories now. Not that I think the rugers are anything less; I've moved on. I keep thinking of a mkIV, and maybe I will pick one up.

Re: 22 Semi Auto pistols
Having owned several S&W Victory autos and countless numbers of Ruger Marks, the advantage of the Victory is easy take-down and amazing accuracy for the price.
No other semi-auto pistol ever made will match the lifespan and durability of a Ruger Mark, though, at least up through the MK III. The Ruger Mark holds the record in several tests for most shots fired without needing a replacement part. Bill Ruger's first gun design is still pretty amazing after all these years. The construction on the Victory, by comparison, is much lighter.
This may or may not be true for the Ruger MK IV. I have no experience with the Ruger MK IV and it is a different action and gun than the original Ruger Mark design.
Love the Model 41, too - when it it shoots reliably. It is a wonderfully easy gun to shoot for accuracy. Back in the day the 41 and the High Standard target models were at the top of the competition circuit. The 41 is still being made, but it is now very expensive and there are legit complaints about current S&W QC. If it's just accuracy you want, the Victory will give the 41 a run for the money and do it at a much lower price.
