Little beast 1911 in the house and range time tomorrow !

Yep the Rock Island BBR 1911 arrived today and despite some saying the grip is a bit hard to wrap your hand around it feels right at home in my hand.
There is a sharp edge at the bottom of both grip panels that I will smooth out but that is about it. Real nice trigger of course being a 1911 and broke it down to clean out the excess shipping oil....it was drippy wet!
Now the factory mag holds 10 rounds or 11 with one in chamber but I wanted more! So I ordered a Para 10 Warthog extended mag which holds 13 rounds of .45 ACP. The mag came in yesterday and just a little widening of the lock slot on the mag and it locks right in on the BBR.
Now you have 13 + 1 in the fat little 1911 !! Loaded couple rounds and they chamber up and eject fine and the slide locks back with the big mag.
So if the wind isn't too bad tomorrow afternoon a range test will be the plan to see how it functions!
Pictures show size comparison with my Ruger 1911 Commander. Last pic. is with the 13 round mag.
