Don't see the sense of a silencer on a revolver, either, but for a dedicated hunting revolver the rail and sights make sense.

a silencer mounted on a revolver will not work so long as there is a gap between the cylinder and barrel .... I remember many years ago watching a demonstration on TV of a silenced revolver .... as best as I can remember it pretty much had to have been a Russian Nagant M1895 Revolver .... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagant_M1895
