C2 97 Vs glock 21

Post by BruniX » Mon Dec 06, 2021 4:05 am

Hello,

I am considering exchanging my glock 21 with a sport shooter having a CZ 97.

The reasons ?
  • Glock handle a little too thick (you can place aluminum plates on the CZ, greatly reducing its width.
Lower barrel rise, due to the weight of the weapon.
Possibility of firing lead bullets in the CZ if necessary.
Full chamber of the ammunition in the gun. (solidity?)
i have a Cz shadow 2 9x19 ,since 5 days,
i love it all, except dissassembly, not as ergonomic as a Glock ... more for a lefty

do some of you know the CZ 97 ?
What do you think (accuracy, reliability, confort ) ?
Are there any of you who have used both?

I owned a Glock in 10 mm. I don’t care for the grip on glocks they just don’t fit my hand. I cannot shoot them very accurately. I love my CZ 97 and it out shoots guns that cost twice as much like Kimbers. I haven’t shot it as much as I should have but it always makes me smile when I do

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

not to distract you from those two options, but if ambi controls are something you would like.

Another option besides the 97 that works with lefty controls is the HK USP line and HK45. The USP can be changed over to lefty sans mag release. The HK 45 is truly ambi.

I have a few USP's and they are definitely worth the money.

a friend made me try his HK sfp9, excellent! ...
good quality, and very nice trigger.
On the other hand, I believe that this time, I will go back to a "full metal" pistol, I feel more comfortable with the weight in my hand ...
That's why I'm looking either on the CZ97 side or also on the 1911 side, but here they are very expensive. I tried one or two, I like it. narrow handle, and then an icon in a collection anyway ...
last weekend, I tested an S&W 1911, the guy was reloading himself with a lead bullet. precise, efficient and simple.
the side "7 round" does not bother me at all, in sport shooting, no importance.
They are sometimes found used, but not very often.
neither did the CZ 97s, by the way.

here, do not be too mistaken,
because it is impossible to have more than 12 semi automatic weapons (revolver, pistol and ARs ...)
beyond, mandatory resale to change!

As you saw from my other photo, I do so love my CZ, you can't go wrong with one. I also tend to prefer the all steel or metal over the polymer guns. My sig's being a prime example of that.

The CZ gives you a lot of starting points for customization that a HK USP will not. Probably more over there than a 1911 would.

1911's are another fun topic for me. I have owned a great many of them and enjoy them all.
