Filled an old single action holster

Post by Centaur » Mon Jul 19, 2021 12:46 pm

Sold a rifle and had cash when I went in my lgs, where a Uberti SAA in 45 called to me. My old holsters from Cowboy Action days have been empty for a while, but now I have something to put in them. Now, I just need to find some 45 Colt ammo.

Which model did you pick up?
I just recently got a 1873, with 4.5" barrel.
Haven't shot it much, but I do like it.

I have a friend who wants my AR10 very bad. I am willing to work with him, but his CZ .223 trade only gets him halfway there. I don't have the AR up for sale, so he has plenty of time to come up with the difference. That cash will go for a birdshead single action 357 if I can find one. Uberti or Ruger will be fine. The Birdhead has long been on my bucket list. That cash will go in the safe until i locate one. :D

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I have a couple of bird's head grip pistols, one a Rough Rider 22/22mag. the other is a Ruger Vaquero in 45 colt.
That one I converted myself, I wouldn't mind having one in 357 also.

I'm not looking for many guns these days, about a half dozen on my list. All zre just like to have for one reason or another. Don't need any of them. ;)
If... If I sell off a few of the extra handguns I used for training, I could easily cover those purchases.

Nothing beats a Colt 45. That's the way to fill a holster for sure.

Totally in agreement with NCG on this. Heck, I've got three and I'm waiting on an "Paladin" from EMF[Pietta].
