This is my shooting buddy's German/Nazi issue P38 rig. Look close and you can see markings on right side of slide from WWII.
Holster has 1939 on it also. Shoots good still !!

Fantastic! And it looks to be in nice shape too. I wonder what stories it holds.

Who could say, prob. came home w/a GI, I think they were issued to officers in the Wehrmacht. Saw a few at a couple of GS, none had the 2 forward makings on the slide, and were all over a grand !!
A little newer Walther, my P99 EDC. Nice shooting 9MM, 3 - 15 rd mags.

I love my PPK but would give it up for an old P38 in a heartbeat.

Here is my boy, brought home by my Dad, with the Umarex P-08.



Story on this one is; on the liberty ship coming home they announced that they were going to go through the duffle bags looking for stuff like this.

My dad, figuring they would never go through the 10s of 1000s of bags bought it from a guy that said they busted a crate of them and they were unused.

I don't know if he ever shot it, my Dad never did, and a couple of years after his death I fired it out in the woods by myself.

I've only fired it about 2-300 times. I researched it a while back (kept nothing of my research ), but it's a $preewerke built in 1943.

Not a Walther or Mauser, but something very dear to me, until the d@mn thing fell out of the canoe. I'm still not talking to my cousin about that.

Edit to add: When I said this was "brought home by my Dad, with the Umarex P-08.", I didn't mean he brought the bb gun back

My BIL is getting a PPQ in .45. He's a big dude and, you know, just has to have it in .45.

I myself, always one to live in the past, have never warmed up to the striker fired, though everybody loves them including hickok45, and all the LEO's.
