Ruger Wrangler

Post by Holiday009 » Thu Mar 04, 2021 7:47 am

Seen them at local RK priced right at $200, anyone own one ? How do they compare to the Heritage rough rider ? Seems like they get great reviews, grips are interchangeable with the single series and Blackhawk also.

Not real enthusiastic about the cerakote finish , especially the bronze color.

I don't own one but have consider them, and almost bought one last year.
Then talked myself out of it, but I may still get one. Like you not crazy about the finish either.
Heck, I have a half dozen 22 revolvers now.

Not sure which one I would like better, the Black or Silver, but either way they need Wood Grips !!

In my opinion anyway.

It would be interesting to hear more opinions on the performance of them. I'm wondering if Hickok 45 has ever covered one.

I have the Heritage 6 shooter and for the money it's a good plinker and it does have the Colt style 4 click action which I like that the Wrangler does not have. Also my particular Heritage came with the 22 Mag cylinder. The other .22 LR revolver I have is a recent purchase and is the Cattleman 12 shooter and that one is very nice but then more money.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Yes you have to look at the CS part of it too. Think I got my Heritage 22 for around 140 bucks during a sale at my LGS.

I had no idea until now that Taurus owned heritage.

Ruger customer service has always treated me 100%.

I have a pair of Heritages have been flawless and one has no telling how many rounds have been through it. One is a 6.5" and the other 4.5 and shoot well.
I actually shoot the 6.5" model better than either of the single sixes.
I have mag cylinders for both the Rugers and the Heritages..
