Any security six fans here ?
Re: Any security six fans here ?
i have a blue one that has at least 10,000 rounds through it and probably 5 times that dry fired. It's built like a tank. When I pulled the side plate off after 10 years of firing it and the lithium grease was still white. It is one of two of my guns that I will never sell.

I've never seen a Security6 with a side plate

I thought that the Ruger advantage was that it didn't have a side plate. My Redhawk and GP 100 don't have one.

Trigger assembly is 1 piece and is removed thru the bottom

I stand corrected. It has been a while since I disassembled it. I do remember that it looked brand new inside.

It’s almost a thing suddenly. Locally another Security Six popped up for sale. Not as nice as the first one but less money.

I believe that those wooden grips are Herrets, I have a pair like them on my Colt S.A.A.

Yeah, they definitely aren’t the original grips so the fact they have a chunk missing to me would not be a big deal. Looks like a good shooter but I’ll leave it for somebody else, the gun budget has been working overtime this month and it’s only the 3rd.
