I don't own anything in a 44 mag. But the way I love Henrys and Rugers, it will probably only be a matter of time, and funds to fill that void.

I had mentioned earlier in this thread, that my next SA revolver would be a Ruger Super Single Six. I finally found one locally yesterday. After a little negotiating I came home with it. My love for Ruger revolvers almost match my love for Henry rifles.

SA Army Cimmaron/Uberti Richards Transition model. 8" barrel. Way back in 1871 they took the old inventory of 1860 cap and ball parts and made a cartridge conversion. She's a real hoot to shoot.

Those Ruger 4 5/8 barrel single actions are hard to resist. I have one in each caliber except the 327. Even have one in a 41. Everyone needs a 41. Al

My Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley has been sent off to WMD Guns to be nitrided. I carry it often here in salty, hot Florida and have a bit of corrosion forming on the upper backstrap. Below is the before, I'll post an after once I get it back. They are working on it as I am typing this.

Excuse me if this has been discussed to death (new to the forum). But do others feel the need to buy single action revolvers to go with their Henry rifles? I have a Ruger Vaquero 45lc to go with its counterpart ,and a 357 Ruger Blackhawk to go with my 357 Henry. Maybe I just watch to many Westerns.

No, not yet. They ran into a minor issue with removing the firing pin. There was a burr that kept it from being removed without destroying the firing pin. They got it out and ordered a new pin, $2.50 or so. Shouldn't be too much longer. I will let you know once I get it back. I'll post pictures before I even shoot it.

After I posted my intro story and Range Report on my new Vaquero http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=4261, I wanted it to be part of this excellent thread, too. Thanks to all who posted here....you've brought to light a lot of great history, and many sharp-looking photos of S/A revolvers.

Although I don't have a companion Henry rifle right now, here are two good companions to my .357 Magnum Six Gun, that will go along on my next deer hunt!
