Re: Opinions Please
Thanks Mags. Was the most practical and expedient thing for myself and them. That's why I suggested it from the start.

Re: Opinions Please
Well here it is with the replacement grips. Have not yet been able to shoot it due to weather. I personally love, or should I say, my eyes love the fiber optics. I know, not traditional
however, gotta do what I gotta do.

Re: Opinions Please
Fine looking pistoles dude! That is going to be a lot of fun. Keep us posted. I think it needs a gunslinger holster.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I understand completely as i have my own eye issues!I personally love, or should I say, my eyes love the fiber optics. I know, not traditionalhowever, gotta do what I gotta do.
I just swapped the originals on my 1899 Winchester with the gold bead off my Henry and put a later style Winchester Buckhorn on the rear.
Not a terrible departure from original but I love the larger gold bead front and the later style buckhorn has a thicker blade with a pronounced 'U' groove and its not a bad combo - and the price was right!
Until I decide if I am going to keep the Winchester or not it will allow me to get out and shoot it more accurately.
That 'Ol 119 year old blue kinda glistens now 'eh?

I probably will.and I think you should keep it.
I have it priced at approximate 'auction' value as opposed to 'street' value so that Is probably why I am not getting any responses.
And something like this takes the right person to own - it's not a gun for everyone.

I don't have any idea of what the auction value should be. Weird that you have gotten any bites yet, to me anyway, what you're asking seems low.

Re: Opinions Please
Auction value would be about $1300 - 1400.
I am asking $1500.
Not real movitated to sell.

Looks good, Mark. Enjoy.
Re: Opinions Please
I am a big fan of cross draw holsters. I've been looking for a leather unit for my SP101. I'm kind of picky. Lots of options, not the one yet. Good luck. Revolvers rock!

Re: Opinions Please
No doubt Jim. surfed the net all afternoon to see what was available. Problem is; have never tried one and would like to see how it feels first.
I figure cross draw, so that when I go up the mountain, it still leaves my right side open for my 357 bear protection.
And a rifle to boot.

I picked up a nylon cheepie. It helps get the muscle memory going. Try it.
