Sorry for the repeat pics of the "Bodyguard". Don't know why that happened and when I go to edit, the extras are not showing up.
BTW, all guns shown are new except the Taurus 85.

Was the charter arms 38 special? Id sure not discount it unless its bigger than what you want.

I don't recall the caliber of the charter or the price. I probably passed on it though because of the size. I'm hoping to conceal.

Also in my past experience the Smith Bodyguards had horrible triggers. But maybe they have changed

Your guy has really good prices, or they have come down a lot since we were looking the last time... I'd certainly be going back when you have time to spend to make an informed choice.

Just remember the rule..

Ultra light snubbies...
Carry a lot, shoot a little.



Not because you shouldn't, but because most won't.
No weight to absorb recoil.
(Funny, the same applies to ultra light semi-autos. )

You can learn to shoot them, be happy with less practice, or find a happy medium.

How are you concealing IWB OWB or pocket

Definitely OWB. I personally can't imagine tolerating the dis-comfort of IWB. I guess it just depends on one's anatomy.

Ive look at alot of owb holsters and bought one or two. But I have not ever found one I like therefore I carry in my front pocket which isnt really idea for quick response. I have been looking at the Sneaky Pete holsters with an interest but havent ordered one yet

Looks like the Sneaky Pete might not be much easier than a pocket for quick response. It would hide the gun though.

I prefer to carry my EDC revolver in a Mika pocket holster in my strong hand front pocket. I have a Mika for each handgun that may be front pocket carried. I'm not as much worried about speed as concealment and having it with me when I may need it. OWB is a very handy holster choice if you can conceal it.

I have a leather pancake holster for my 9mm that holds very close to the body. It does well even with a loose-fitting T-shirt. The pistol is only just under one inch thick though. Probably not going to be the case with a revolver depending on which one. I think the smaller ones come in at just under 1.5 inches thick. Might be ok.

I handled a Bodyguard as well. Did not seem to well made to me. So, we passed on it.

I prefer to carry my EDC revolver in a Mika pocket holster in my strong hand front pocket. I have a Mika for each handgun that may be front pocket carried. I haven't had too many other brand pocket holsters, I think one is a DeSantis. I don't remember who put me onto Mika holsters, but it was a personal recommendation. Bob Mika makes each one for your order rather than generic size ranges. His form to the gun very well as time goes on. They also stay open in the pocket to allow for reholstering pretty well.

I have the DeSantis Gunhide Superfly pocket holster for my CC semiauto. The fly panel hides the outline of the pistol/holster. From outside the pants pocket it looks like a square wallet in your pocket.

To back up a bit, A couple of the revolvers in the pics I previously posted are beyond my price range. I just thought it might be interesting for some of you to see the asking price on those models. Sometimes, like when I bought two of my Henrys from them, they came down a pretty good amount on the price because I paid cash. If/when I make a choice, maybe they'll do the same for handguns. Will have to see.
Unfortunately, I'm getting a bit of...let's say "Domestic Resistance" re: the purchase.

Can understand. My wife and I came to an agreement of a spending gap, without discussion a purchase with the other of $1,000 or less. After I told her that I spent $750 for a Henry, she wanted to reduce the spending gap to $500 or less. I honestly don't know what the issue is about a firearm. She purchased one herself. I guess it is the amount. I once mentioned to one of the owners of a LGS about having enough firearms. He said that it is no such thing. When the safe gets full, buy another safe. Well, I did purchase a small safe.
