Well I have never had a revolver jam that was made right. Mags issue sounds to me like the gun isnt MFG right. I havent probably shot as many as Joanie has but Ive shot my fair share and I have never had one jam. I have however experienced jams in semi autos due to numerous reasons. Ammunition flaws and designs. I agree with the cleaning part especially when it comes to 12 and 10 shot revolvers. But I just take the cylinders and drop them into a jar of hoppes covering the cylinder. Let them soak and it cleans up pretty quick.

I only had issues with my revolvers due to the high round counts during matches. Normally I don't have issues. The only other time I had an issue is when an ejection rod shot loose and started to back out. Lesson learned. I started checking for loose screws, pins, rods. :)

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I have a few revolvers. Only the Taurus has jams. The only problem I've had with a couple of the others is the dove tail front sights and ejection rod dove tail stud falling off. Fortunately I noticed right away, seeing where they landed in the dirt. I've also had had screws come loose, but not enough to fall out.

Sorry about your situation Markiver54. Hope you heal quickly. Since cost is a concern, I recommend an use Ruger LCR as well. My wife got one for around $400. She had been shooting my S&W M360 Airweight with 38+P and enjoyed it. She decided to get her own and looked at 9mm. Yet, the slide was too much for her. I got a Rossi RP63 for about $350. Yet, the trigger is not as nice as my S&Ws or Colt. However, I suspect that it will wear in nicely.

As you are aware, dryfire different types at a LGS. We went to 3 or 4 different ones, before we found one that was priced right and felt right. Happy searching!

I arrived at our mountain cottage today. As I mentioned earlier, my favorite gun store is up here. About a 25-minute drive. I will be going sometime this week to see what he has, new or used. His prices have always been very fair. That's where I got two of my Henrys.
Thanks guys!

Hmmmm, a week at the cottage plus a gun shopping trip. What’s not to like about that!

Thanks for the post GFK. Very interesting. The company is in the same town as Taurus. I wonder if they are affiliated. I DO like the idea of a hammer for being able to choose between SA or DA.
