Rugers are nice, so are Cimarrons, & some others, but Colt is the one that started it.

It's hard for me to say when or even how or where I heard someone (though, I suspect it was Hickok45) say that when Colt resumed production on their 1873 SAA revolvers after many years had lapsed, they used the very same worn tools that they had been using when they stopped production. So, for several years, their parts were not equal to Uberti's, which may be why they began to buy parts from them. I can't see the computer sometime to proof check all my post and thank you for checking my post and finding a misprint like SAA on my post when my blood sugar is high and my eyes are burred and I can't read . I will PM you my post for you check when my eyes are giving trouble .![]()
