Just another comment on the grips. Several years ago a local shop advertised a Ruger 45 Colt on the local trader site. It had a beautiful set of (I believe) Altmont grips on it that really caught my eye. I convinced myself that I wanted that gun so after work I stopped into the shop just in time to see a guy doing the paperwork to buy it. We struck up a conversation and come to find out he is also a member of the local trader site and we have since become friends.
But the beauty of that revolver haunted me and I found another with the same grips and bought it. Only to find out I didn’t care for shooting a single action style revolver so I sold it and just stayed with my double actions. But the interesting note of this long winded story is just how much of a difference nice grips can make.
Guess who just had a birthday? We did. Henry Rifle Forums has made it to the 10 year mark. Thank you to all members, I'm glad you are here!
